Xinjiang Oilfield pioneers pipeline unblocking technology to overcome the operational difficulties of long-distance sewage pipeline network

01 April, 2026

The Xinjiang Oilfield Emergency Rescue Center has recently successfully completed the dredging task of the first 425 meter section of the DN300 sewage pipeline in Oil Production Plant 1. For the first time, continuous tubing technology has been applied to the unblocking of long-distance sewage pipelines, achieving a technological breakthrough in this field in China. The total length of the pipeline constructed this time exceeds 4642 meters. Due to the long-term transportation of sewage, the internal scaling is severe, and the rated pressure of the pipeline is only 2.6 megapascals, making it extremely difficult to clear.
The technical team determines key parameters such as the inlet angle of the continuous oil pipe through precise calculation, adopts the "segmented drag washing" process to avoid secondary accumulation of scale and debris, and selects special working media to prevent winter freezing and blockage risks. At the same time, a rotating jet unblocking tool is introduced to solve the problem of debris suspension through the dual action of hydraulic jet and mechanical rotation, and real-time monitoring of pressure changes throughout the process ensures operational safety. This technological breakthrough has significantly improved the efficiency and accuracy of unblocking long-distance sewage pipelines, forming replicable and promotable construction experience, and providing solid technical support for safe production in oil and gas fields.
