The Yingmaili to Sancha and Lunnan to Shangku Industrial Park sections of the PetroChina Tarim Oilfield Gasification South Xinjiang Natural Gas Pipeline Project have recently started construction simultaneously. The two 510 kilometer long "Steel Gas Dragons" will extend along the southern foothills of the Tianshan Mountains, bringing clean natural gas energy to the southern Xinjiang region. This project is an important component of the natural gas pipeline expansion project in northern and southern Xinjiang, and is also a major energy project that benefits people's livelihoods.
Among them, the western Yingmaili to Sancha pipeline has a total length of 382 kilometers and a daily gas supply capacity of 7.2 million cubic meters; The pipeline from Lunnan on the east side to Shangku Industrial Park is 128 kilometers long, with a daily gas supply capacity of 20.4 million cubic meters. It is planned to be fully connected and put into operation before November 30, 2025. The pipeline passes through more than 300 complex sections such as railways, highways, and rivers. The construction unit has invested more than 20 units and over a thousand construction personnel to advance the river crossing construction during the dry season. After the completion of the project, it will achieve dual line gas supply, greatly improving the gas supply guarantee capacity in southern Xinjiang and benefiting people of all ethnic groups in Bazhou, Kashgar, Aksu and other places.
